미션

한울종합복지관은 한 울타리 안에서 화합을 도모하며 서로의 다양성을 인정하고, 개개인의 역량강화를 추구합니다. 한울종합복지관은 민간사회적 안전망과 정보창구 그리고 이민정착에 필요한 기관으로서 5개 서비스군을 정립 (노인복지, 가족지원, 법률이민, 공중보건, 문화교육 ) 전문복지사업을 전개하고 있습니다.

연혁

한울종합복지관의 시작은 처음 영어사용이 불편한 한인노인들을 위해 1987년도에 설립된 한인노인복지센터였습니다. 시카고지역 알바니파크에 위치한 한울 사무소는 지금까지 도시북쪽 지역의 노인아파트에 거주하고 계신 한인 어르신들이 꼭 찾는 안전지역의 중심지 역할을 수행하고 있습니다. 이미 한울은 새로운 미션과 비전을 제시하면서 지역사회의 다양한 인종을 대상으로한 기관으로 성장했습니다. 한울복지관 마운트 프로스펙트 서버브지역 사무소는 이민자들의 시카고 외곽지역으로의 인구이동에 따른 서비스 필요성에 의해 1999년에 설립됐습니다.  2013년 8월에는 계속해서 급증하는 레이크 카운티에 거주하는 한인들을 위해 제 3의 지역 오피스를 먼덜라인에 설립하여, 시카고 전 지역에 살고 있는  한인들에게 사회복지 서비스를 제공하고 있으며, 언어와 인종을 뛰어넘어 지역사회의 보다 다양한 필요를 채워주고 있습니다.
